The Quran's Call to Natural Beauty.

The Quran's Call to Natural Beauty.

The Quran highlights the collection and diversity of natural beauty. If a person can appreciate this beauty and wonder of nature alongside their faith, it can enhance their faith. Allah has created the universe with unparalleled skill and precision, making His creation perfect and flawless.

In the Holy Quran, it is stated, "It is Allah who created all things, and He perfected them." (Surah Naml, Verse 88) Allah has created everything in the universe without any imperfection.

In the Holy Quran, it is stated, "He who created the heavens and earth and everything between them in six days, and then established Himself on the Throne; the Most Merciful. Ask about Him someone informed." (Surah Mulk, Verses 3-4)

Invitation to Contemplate Beauty

Several invitations to contemplate natural beauty are found in the Quran:

1. Behold the adorned skies: Allah calls attention to the magnificent and beautiful skies He has created, asking, "Do they not look at the sky above them, how We have built it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it?" (Surah Qaf, Verse 6)

2. Behold the pleasant Earth: Allah describes the Earth as pleasant and pleasing, saying, "And We spread out the earth and placed on it firm mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing." (Surah Qaf, Verse 7)

3. Behold the beauty of stars and planets: Allah attracts the attention of mankind to the beauty of stars and planets, saying, "And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars." (Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 16)

4. Enjoy the beauty of gardens: The Quran describes gardens and vegetation as delightful, saying, "He sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. Thus We bring forth vegetation in abundance." (Surah An-Naml, Verse 60)

5. Notice the diversity of fruits: The diverse fruits are a manifestation of Allah's power. The believer declares Allah's greatness upon seeing this, "Have you not considered that Allah sends down rain from the sky and makes it penetrate the earth and emerges with it gardens of diverse [species]?" (Surah Fatir, Verse 27)

6. Observe the variegated mountains: Allah invites people to observe the variegated colors of the mountains, saying, "(Do you not see) within the mountains are passes and [that] they are white and red [in color]?" (Surah Fatir, Verse 27)

7. Reflect on the fascinating creatures: Allah directs the believer to contemplate the amazing life forms on Earth, asking, "Then do they not look at the camels—how they are created?" (Surah Al-Ghashiyah, Verse 17)

Human beings are the most beautiful creation in Allah's universe. The beauty of human beings does not solely depend on their appearance or shape, but encompasses their entire being. Allah says, "It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 3)
