“Horrible and scary”: Texas leaders condemn shooting at Donald Trump rally

Texas leaders from both political parties expressed outrage and solidarity with former President Donald Trump following a shooting incident at a campaign event in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

During a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, U.S. Secret Service swiftly escorted Trump off the stage after gunshots were heard. Blood was visible on the former president's ear, and he was quickly moved to safety. Trump later confirmed on social media that he had been grazed by a bullet on his upper right ear.
Sid Miller, Texas Agriculture Commissioner and a longtime ally of Trump, was present at the rally and recounted the event in an interview with The Texas Tribune. He described witnessing the shots and Trump narrowly avoiding direct hits before taking cover.
