"Kamala Harris' response on border issues enrages mother of woman allegedly killed by undocumented immigrant."
The family of a Maryland mother of five, allegedly murdered by an undocumented immigrant, expressed shock after Vice President Kamala Harris defended the Biden administration's handling of the southern border between 2022 and 2023. This period saw an influx of migrants under a policy later retracted by the administration due to public criticism and mounting concerns about border security.
During this timeframe, authorities report that the suspected killer of Rachel Morin—a 23-year-old named Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, wanted by Interpol for murder in El Salvador—illegally entered the U.S. despite repeated prior denials. Following his entry in early 2023, Martinez-Hernandez allegedly raped a woman and her 9-year-old daughter in California before ultimately traveling to Maryland, where Morin was found murdered on a jogging trail.

As the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, Harris recently told CNN’s Anderson Cooper during a town hall that she believes the administration "did the right thing" during a period the House Committee on Homeland Security has described as a "historic border crisis."
