rump teases he will 'do everything' while working behind McDonald's counter in crucial swing state
Former President Donald Trump is set to make an unusual campaign stop in battleground Pennsylvania this weekend, where he'll be working behind the counter at a McDonald's in the Philadelphia area.
In a Friday interview on "Fox and Friends," Trump shared his weekend plans, saying, "A friend of mine owns a McDonald's someplace," when asked about his upcoming appearance at the fast-food chain. He added enthusiastically, "Oh, I'm going. I'm going to do everything."
With just over two weeks until Election Day, Trump remains locked in a close race with Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump has repeatedly claimed that Harris, despite her statements, never worked at McDonald's.
As Harris campaigns to become the next president, she frequently references her middle-class background and the time she spent working at McDonald's during college in the 1980s. In an interview last month with MSNBC, she said, "I have [worked at McDonald's]," emphasizing that her experience aligns her with working-class Americans. "There are people in our country who are working at McDonald's trying to raise a family," Harris said. "I worked there as a student."

She contrasted her experience with Trump's more privileged upbringing, suggesting it highlights their differing perspectives on the needs of everyday Americans. "I think part of the difference between me and my opponent is our perspective on the needs of the American people and our responsibility to meet those needs," she added.
However, Trump continues to dispute her claims, insisting she never worked at the fast-food chain.
